Hot and Spicy Sauce

This hot tomato sauce can be served with most African snacks such as Puff Puff, fried plantains, Akara beans, or anything else.

Ingredients:

  • 2 fresh tomatoes, mashed
  • 1 tbsp tomato paste
  • 1 small onion, sliced
  • 2 garlic gloves, grated
  • 1 tbsp blended fresh hot pepper, I used chili peppers 
  • 1 cooked red snapper
  • 50ml of oil
  • water
  • salt
  •  Pepper
  • 1 bouillon cube

Direction:

Start with  separate the fish from it bones and reserve it.

Heat  the oil in a saucepan and add the onions, saut√© for few minutes.

Add the cooked fish, season with pepper and add the fresh tomatoes, tomato paste and garlic.

The next step is to add the chili peppers and cook for a minutes.

Season the sauce with a bouillon cube and salt to your taste.

Add a cup of water, close it and let it cook for 5 min or untill most of the liquid is absorb.

And it is ready to be served.
