African Donuts

I made these sweets and yummy African donuts this weekend and going to share the complete recipe with you guys.

INGREDIENTS:

  • 500 g flour
  • 1 cup of sugar
  • 1 egg
  • 250 ml warm milk
  •  2 tsp active dry yeast
  • Vanilla
  •  1 full tbsp butter
  • Oil for frying

Direction:

Step 1: Dissolve the yeast in a bit of the warm milk with a tsp of sugar and set aside for 5 minutes.

Step 2: Remove half cup of the flour and keep aside.

Then in a large bowl add the flour, sugar and vanilla, mix together.

Now add in the butter and egg.

Step 3: Pour in the yeast and milk, mix to form dough not very sticky and form small balls that you place on a work plan that has been floured.

Let rise for 1 hour.


Step 4: Heat the oil and fry the dough balls until golden brown.

And voila, your yummy donuts are ready to serve.
